Maybe it's because I don't like Mangos
I am not a big fan of this drink and like the title suggests maybe it is because I do not like Mangoes. Actually that is not entirely true. One time we were at a music festival and someone had some cool mangoes so we cut them in half and we each got a half with a spoon. I scooped the meat out of that mango and ate it. That was the best taste I could have experienced at that moment and that one time I really loved mango. I have tried to recreate that taste cutting a mango in half and eating it with a spoon but it did nothing. There was no was to get back that moment.
This drink will probably be loved by anyone who likes to eat mangoes but if you don't then maybe you should opt out.
Soup in a can
The best thing about this stuff was the little plastic folding spoon that fit into the lid. Seriously it was not good. It's basically just some rice and beans made into a soup with some broth but then someone decided to add something sweet, mostly just sugar and quite a bit of it or at least more of it than should be in soup maybe if it was some kind of dessert but then why have beans and rice in it? Anyway not tasty but to my surprise it came with a spoon which folded up and fit into the lid. Now if we just find a soup that tastes good with the spoon it would be a great on the go food. Great for lunch boxes.
Arome Lychee
In looking for a translation of Arome I am finding only one thing in all my Internet searching. That It translates from French to English at Arum Lily. In other words a flower. Now my only problem with this is that it would seem very out of context and make no sense to say lily Lychee since a Lychee is a tropical fruit tree native to southern China according to Wikipedia. Anyway putting those two words together if that is what they mean would be gibberish but again what do I know really? not much.
Not a big surprise here but this tastes really similar to other flavored waters that are all over the shelves today. This one is pretty sweet with just a hint of the clear cool goodness that water is truly meant to be.
Dirty Mushrooms?
I love mushrooms and when I say that I really do mean it. I like to grill a big portobello mushroom and put it on a bun and eat it like a burger sometimes even more than I like actually eating hamburger meat. Now I am not a vegetarian I am far from it, I like meat very much but I love mushrooms. All that being said these are not the best ones I have eaten.
We added these mushrooms to a little dish Scott whipped up with some green curry and some bamboo shoots. He has been working on getting it just right, he thought he got it this time I still think it was spicy hot but maybe green curry just is not for me. I need to order it out at a restaurant some time but I do not want to waste the money on something I do not like. Oh well I guess I will have to cross that bridge when I come to it or more likely when I am in another restaurant that serves a green curry dish.
Anyway these mushrooms are dirty. They taste like they were not cleaned at all before they were put into the can. I do not think you have to clean things you take out of a can but maybe I am wrong. They not only tasted dirty literally, kind of gritty other than that they did not have much taste at all and that is what scares me. Maybe they were supposed to taste like that and if so I definitely do not like them or recommend them.
